Be Passionate in What You Do – Updated from 052009
- Glenn Bott
I came across this blog I posted a little more than 17 years ago. Time does indeed fly when you’re having fun! 😊 I’ve updated it with some new information and realizations. Enjoy!
According to the folks at Merriam Webster, the definition of passion is a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for, or devotion to some activity, object, or concept”.
Are you living your passion? If not, why not? Our life is meant to be enjoyed, not something you have to struggle through. When you’re living your passion, you’re enjoying each moment/day, learning new things, and expanding your definition of “who you are”.
I am currently having a blast and flowing with life. I notice that when I’ve got a lot of energy, nothing I do is work, it’s all fun and exciting, and I can’t wait to get at it. This is a sure sign that I’m doing my passion.
My question to you is this – are you living your passion? If not, why not? What’s preventing you from chasing your dream, creating it, and loving the entire process?
For a lot of people, they’ll say they have responsibilities. Or they’ll do it tomorrow. Or the next day. Or they don’t have enough money. Or they’re out of time.
All excuses.
There is absolutely NOTHING stopping you from pursuing your passion other than you. While some of these reasons may be partially true, they aren’t cast in concrete. Remember – reality is plastic. It’s formable and moldable. We are the creators, so why not enjoy the ride, your time here on Planet Earth, and do what you love doing?
Remember – Commitments are Carved in Stone!
